At Continental Stairs, we’ve been crafting exceptional staircases since 1982.

What started with John and Ria van Erp building stairs in a small shed on their family farm has grown into one of New Zealand’s leading staircase manufacturers.

Today, we produce over 300 staircases each month, along with custom handrails and balustrades, from our purpose-built factory in Henderson. With John and Ria now retired, their son Anthony leads the business as second-generation director, supported by his wife Joanne and senior team members Anish Swamy and Glenn Elsmore.

While our team and technology have evolved, our core value remains the same: delivering quality craftsmanship, right the first time. We collaborate closely with clients to bring their vision to life, whether it’s a classic design or a bold, modern statement piece.
